I've tried everything. I've deleted my whole ARK folder and reinstalled the game and resubbed to the mods but they won't download. When I start up the game it just shows that it's installing the mods and waiting for Steam to download them, but Steam isn't downloading it. Did you try deleting Steam's download cache? It's in the same menu that change download region is in. Good luck with this man, I've seen a similar problem one time before and the guy had to wait for the next update to get the game to work. A server apparently needs a mod,, but steam/armk won't download it or install it, it's probably a MB or 2, and still it's stuck on "installing 1 mods" Delete the mods folder in ark\shootergame\content Delete the AppManifest file from the \steamapps\ folder with the App ID of Ark Then load the game and it should now download the mods. TO PLAY A MOD OR CUSTOM MAP. To download mods or maps, simply go to ARK's Steam Workshop page and click "Subscribe" on the item you'd like to get.. Ark won’t download. Hello, before I start ranting, I just want say, I hope you are having a great day. I just bought ark today on steam due to a suggestion from a good friend of mine, but after buying it, I seemed to have some trouble getting it to download. It will load about 3 gb in a couple seconds, but then instantly pause and go back to Stranded naked, freezing & starving on a mysterious island, you must hunt, harvest, craft items, grow crops, & build shelters to survive. Use skill & cunning to kill, tame, breed, & ride the Dinosaurs & primeval creatures living on ARK. Team up with hundreds of players online or try to survive on your own in offline play. Then when i click out of all of that "starting mod 499751025 Download" stays in the middle of my screen and "installing 1 mods (eradicator v2.0 -)" stays in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Using the ability to parse the main ARK game server configuration files, it seeks for the ‘ActiveMods=’ settings options. Once found it can read and understand the MOD ID’s you enter in the main gameusersettings.ini so when you run the ARK Mod Updater program it will automatically seek out the mod files for your chosen mods and download them via Steam. This issue is prevalent with ARK client side as well, they even have a mention to that in their FAQ on their forums. Fun fact: we actually use the same C# code and built an executable off of code given to us from the server developer team at ARK to process our mod unpacking. So the logic/process is exactly the same as the client-side version.
